AMSA was created to give Masters Ski Racing a National Identity, provide representation for masters skiers, help promote and development ski racing in Australia.
AMSA runs the annual Australian Masters Championships. The championships consist of three races: Slalom, Giant Slalom and Super G. These races are run to FIS standards.
International Competition:
The International Masters Cup [FMC] is governed by the International Ski Federation [FIS] and it is the preferred competition level for the best Masters racers in the world. The program is primarily based in Europe and also includes annual FIS Masters competitions in South America and North America. FIS ski length and radius regulations are recommendations only at Masters FIS events.
The FIS Masters World Criterium [WCM] is the Masters most important annual event including one SG, one GS and one SL. Participation is open to all Masters who hold valid Masters FIS competitor cards from their respective National Ski Organizations.
